Cookie Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Exactly what this site stores on your device, and what you can turn off.

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy lists the cookies and similar browser storage used on buildsinfinity.com. "Cookies" here also covers local storage and session storage, which keep data on your device in a similar way. Our products set their own storage, described in their own cookie policies.

2. Two Categories

  • Strictly necessary — what the site needs to work and to remember your cookie choice. It cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics (optional) — understanding which pages are used and how people arrive. Loaded only after you accept.

We do not use advertising, retargeting or ad-personalisation cookies, and we do not sell or share browsing data with advertising networks.

3. Strictly Necessary Storage

  • Cookie consent preference (local storage) — records your answer to the cookie banner so we stop asking. Kept until you clear it or change your choice.
  • Blog view marker (session storage) — stops one article being counted twice in a single visit. Cleared when the tab closes. The count itself is anonymous.
  • Security and load-balancing cookies — short-lived technical cookies our hosting provider may set to deliver the site securely.

4. Analytics (Optional, Off by Default)

None of the following load until you choose "Accept analytics" on the cookie banner. If you choose "Essential only", or never answer, they are not added to the page at all.

  • Ahrefs Web Analytics — aggregate traffic and search-referral measurement.
  • Google Analytics 4 (where enabled) — aggregate page views, referrers and navigation paths. Sets _ga and _ga_* cookies, typically for up to two years.

We use these to decide which pages and content are worth investing in, not to build advertising profiles.

5. Anonymous Performance Measurement

The site measures how quickly pages load (Core Web Vitals) and reports the timing with the page path to our own server. It sets no cookie and carries no identifier for you.

6. Changing Your Choice

Use “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of every page, or here. Withdrawing consent reloads the page so analytics stops running immediately.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

7. Do Not Track

There is no agreed standard for interpreting the browser "Do Not Track" signal, and we do not currently respond to it. The cookie banner is the control that works: declining there means no analytics script is loaded.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we add or remove a technology listed here, we will update this page and its date. If we add a new category of optional storage, we will ask for your consent again rather than relying on an earlier answer.
